Julie Daniels is a contemporary British artist based in Italy whose work explores traditional constructs and methodology within the context of modern visions.
Julie began her painting studies in Florence during her year abroad at university, starting at
the Florence Academy with Daniel Graves, and continuing at the Angel studios with John Angel
who had studied painting with Pietro Annigoni and worked on the Annigoni frescoes in Ponte Buggianese.
At the Angel studios, she met and formed a lifelong friendship with Jorge Alberto,
a Cuban painter resident in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, who introduced her to the Maroger
medium which now forms the basis of her painting method.
Julie Daniels’ work can be found in public and private collections across Europe and the USA.
